Cricket South Africa pays tribute to Mark Boucher - Cricket News Update
Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 (CSA) Jacques Faul paid rich tribute to Mark Boucher who announced his retirement just a day after suffering a horrific eye injury.

The wicketkeeper, who was thrice declared South African Player of the Year in 1998, 2000, and 2006, is statistically the most successful wicketkeeper of all time in the history of the game.
He played 147 Test, the most by any gloveman and holds a number of wicket-keeping world records including most dismissals (999: Tests-555, ODIs-425 and T20Is-19), most victims in Tests (555) and most catches (532). As a batsman, he finished-off his career
scoring 5515 Test runs (30.30) and 4686 runs (28.57) in the ODIs.
“It is sad indeed that http://www.senore.com/Cricket/MV-Boucher-c2048’s retirement from international cricket has had to be announced under such untimely circumstances,” said Faul, who also resigned as a CSA chief recently.
“We were all looking forward to the contribution he was going to make to the Proteas’ test series in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 and the challenge for the World No 1 ranking and to salute him on achieving the landmark of 150 test matches.”

The South African legend has already flown home after an emergency three-hour operation but the tributes continued to flow in from all over the world, praising the most decorated wicket keeper of the modern era.
