Cricket Special Report: Australian Captain, Ricky Pontings 8th book titled "The Captain's Years 2010" out in stores on November 1st 2010
For all the Ponting fans out there, behold, November is near. Ricky Ponting never seemed to be under the benefit of doubt. His performance speaks for itself and can easily surpass his predecessors. His eighth book makes the top headline, which is due to be released on November 1st 2010.
The higher middle order batsman currently holds 12026 runs with an average of 54.66. Ricky Ponting is known a deadly player. Be it his dead on precision in fielding or his attacking batting style, Ponting has been assembling record and runs with his cover drive and the pull.
The right hander certainly has a scrutinizing mind. He has till date written eight books. Punter, The Captains Diary 2007, The Captains diary 2008, The Ashes diary 2005 & 2009 and The World Cup Diary kept his readers in a strange hold while reading.
The humid subtropical climate of Brisbane seems to have inspired his writing skills. Ponting’s new book; The Captain's Years 2010, due in November, is much anticipated. It is believed that the book came into being during a player camp, where the whole squad-aura persisted. The five star resort at the low lying flood plain appear to have worked for the Australian skipper.
His previous book gave a good insight inside the Australian dressing room. According to the reviews, the previous book had been very informative. The long overseas tours, the family life and the game are all pretty hard to balance. Given the reviews, Ponting stands out to have some very interesting point of views. The highs and lows of the games indicate the pressure these players have to go through.
Reports state that the Australian skipper has been as forthcoming in his books as in the field. Out of eight books, the current book already seems to be under the critics’ scrutiny. Some say he has a list of self-presumed “greats” mentioned in his book.  While others applaud his gal whilst expression.
The book also highlights the presently most discussed topic; the Ashes.
During the launch of his recent book, Ponting smilingly advised the readers to not believe everything they read.  As far as The Ashes is concerned, the Australian skipper promises to take every minute of the upcoming Test against England as a challenge. He hopes to play his best at every minute of the match.
When inquired about the urge of Five- nil defeat over England. A rather diplomatic answer was heard. Pointing stated that the sweep can only be achieved if the Australian team works to their best abilities. The earlier news where Ponting affirmed his urge to thrash England by a 5-0 win was a bit of a stretch.  Right!
Ponting proclaims that the team still has to overcome a couple of batting collapses and low scores. The match with Pakistan earlier this year and with http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760 last year, back up his statement. Although the glory days seemed to have disappeared, observers advocate that the Australian side is certainly improving.
The book also discusses his activities on Facebook- the social networking site. His entries may not be earth moving but still had the groove enough to be discussed. Now whether an injury or his decisions to bat first are groovy enough, it’s up to his fans to decide.
He was also asked to comment about the ban on several England players at Twitter while Ashes. He had a very careful answer. He stated that the world needs to know what the players are like with the helmet off. As long as it is done in the right way, no Australian player would be banned.
The book highlights the journey of Australian team in 2009-10 extravagantly. The start of the season was marked with the victory at The Champions Trophy. After that, the victorious headed to the Asian land to http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 followed suit. The critics state that only Ponting is able enough to describe what a tremulous yet exciting journey the team has followed. Ricky Ponting seemed to have done a good job in revealing the journey to the fans and critics.
