Cricket Team England claiming an outright dominance against the traditional rivals
After a consistent struggle of 24 years, England has finally succeeded in defeating the traditional rivals on their own soil and has regained the Ashes title.
The end result might not be surprising for the spectators, but the way the visitors kept and maintained their superiority throughout the series; it compelled the cricketing fans around the world to laud their performance.
While playing as a single unit, team England has been depicting admirable qualities. No doubt the pressure on them to play well was enormous and expectations from the fans huge, but still, they managed to sustain their focus until their dominance became
obvious and the Ashes urn was claimed successfully.
Despite of such fabulous win, it might not be easy for the team England to erase the 5-0 defeat of 2006 from their mind. But now, for putting their best efforts in building the team step by step, they have emerged among the top three teams of the world.
On http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746’s front, the tradition of using verbal volleys when their performance on ground is not up to the mark is also a thing of the past. While playing at Perth, though Ponting had claimed of having a moral victory, but the visitors remained unfazed.
What Kevin Pietersen said on twitter, it could surely have earned disrespect for the batsman, however, the way he put piles of scores on the board, the spectators regarded it as a one of the best performances of his career. Hitting a double ton to dig out
a win for his team was the best answer he could come up with to give his opponents a shut up call. While observing the overall performance of the English side, one can conclude that they have just started with their mission.
Australian team, which has been at the top of ICC ranking for perhaps the longest time, depicted a body language at Ashes as if they had already accepted the defeat. Though, the host team made a comeback at Perth, but everyone knew it clearly that an ultimate
victory was perhaps a distant dream for the home side, which had been dwelling into the era of Warne-McGrath.
The reasons for Australia not being able to display a satisfactory performance was pretty much the same in which England had been going through back in 2006. Not only that the overall team combination was weak, it was also because there was immense pressure
from the media as well as from the national spectators. On the contrary, having a full support of English supporters back at home, the English side depicted a teeming confidence, which ultimately led it to win the series.
