Cricket Update: Andrew Hilditch says that Tait and Lee are looking extremely fit for the One day series
Australia’s Chairman of Selectors, Andrew Hilditch has said that both Shaun Tait and Brett Lee are looking extremely fit for the One day series. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746 announced the fourteen man squad for the upcoming One day series against England which also featured
some of the prominent names in Australian bowling.
Shaun Tait and Brett Lee were included in the Australian squad for the 7 Match One day series and their inclusion also highlighted this fact that how much Australia has been missing the pace in their bowling department in recent times. Australian bowling
has been on the receiving end in recent times and during the Ashes series, their bowling was one area which lacked the fire power to dismiss the English batsmen in their innings.
The inclusion of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lee-c72382 and Tait would definitely brighten the Aussie bowling line-up and would add more variety into their current line-up. Andrew Hilditch is one person who realizes the importance of pace in the Australian team and endorses the inclusion
of fast bowlers in the squad. Hilditch was of the view that both Lee and Tait are looking fit at the moment.
Both these fast bowlers would make a comeback into the team after a long injury lay off and would have to bowl with a lot of discipline in order to remind everyone about the lethal nature of their bowling. Hilditch further said that Shaun Tait doesn’t have
enough bowling practice before the One day series, but he did accept this factor that the bowling practice is sufficient for him in the One day series.
Tait last played against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Victoria-c859 in the Twenty20 Match and took one wicket in his 2 over spell. Hilditch praised the fitness level of Shaun Tait and said that he is fitter than he has ever been in his life. He further added that all the signs are looking
positive for Tait’s return and Aussie selectors will further look into the Twenty20 Matches and the One day Match to make sure that he has returned to his best.
Hilditch said that Brett Lee had a longer break from injury compared to Shaun Tait and selectors will review his case in a more detailed form. Both these fast bowlers are considered as the fastest in the world and have the tendency of troubling the batsmen
in their early spells.
