Mahela Jayawardene is considered to be one of the best stroke players among the new modern generation of cricketers. The Lankan tiger is also well-known for his effortless classy stroke play, his world class timing and match-winning performances. His credentials
do speak out of his potential, as he has also handled the burden of captaincy for his national Sri Lankan cricket team.

or batsman.

His ODI record is also commendable, as the veteran as scored 9003 runs from 326 matches, at an average of 32.73. He has 12 centuries and 55 half-centuries to his name, with a best of 128. Not to forget, his strike rate of 77.12, which is well supported by
the 767 boundaries and 54 sixes he has struck.
Mahela in his 13 years of international cricketing career has simply dazzled the cricketing arena through some world class stroke play.   His credentials surely make him worthy of the number 10 position among the top 10 classy batsmen of the last two decades.
