In the Ashes series, Australian batsmen have struggled against the swing bowling of James Anderson but Hussey is one batsman who has played all the English bowlers with confidence. His innings of 116 in Perth Test was no different from his previous innings
as he again batted sensibly at a crucial time for Australia. His head strong personality will definitely make him a strong contender for Australia’s next captain.

In the Perth Test, Australia were struggling at 69-5 in their first innings and it was Michael Hussey who again lifted the Aussies from that position. However, he did not make a huge total but he was quite successful in providing a good partnership with
Brad Haddin for the 6th wicket. He made 61 runs in the first innings and gave a strong answer to the English bowlers. The comfort level in his batting is one factor which has troubled the English bowlers throughout the series and they have not yet
come up with a way of dismissing him early in his innings.

all the bowlers and quickly adjusted to the bowlers length. Hussey’s natural batting has helped Australia a lot in the Ashes series and his batting would play an important role for the Aussies in the Melbourne Test.
