Cricket Update: Pakistani batsman Kamran Akmal included in the ODI series against New Zealand
The wicket keeper batsman Kamran Akmal has made his way back into the ODI team on a national level. He has been included in the ODI series against the troubled New Zealand.  He was not included in the Test and the T20 series on the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/New-Zealand-c754 tour however.
The wicket keeper will replace his brother, Adnan Akmal for the same job that his brother is doing in the current test series. The media has portrayed this as a positive step and the right move from the PCB. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Misbah-ul-Haq-c1972 has also been included in the ODI
squad, which comes as a surprise. His comeback as the Test captain proved to be good one, but his inclusion in the ODI side has raised a few eyebrows. But this is probably because of the test performance that he has found a spot in the team.
Ahmad Shehzad has also made it into the ODI squad, against the New Zealand team, which was pretty much expected. He performed well in the T20 games, and that is the reason why he has been named. PCB sources say that he is a serious contender for the World
Cup squad as well. He scored 83 runs in the three T20 matches, managing an average of 27.44 and a strike rate of 150.9, which is a pretty impressive record. His half century in the last game earned him a respectable feedback from the fans and the board.
Kamran Akmal has staged a comeback after an impressive domestic cricket season. He was left out from the team after the England tour, first because of medical reasons and later some issues rose with the ICC that proved to be a hurdle. But his clearance after
all the drama had him satisfied. This only lasted for some time as once again he was left out from the New Zealand tour. The team announcement for the World Cup was delayed, only to let Kamran and Shoaib Malik have another chance to redeem. Malik could not
come up clean, according to the PCB, while Akmal got fortunate enough to bag a clearance and make it to the national team.
