Cricket Update: Ricky Ponting to undergo finger surgery

was. Unfortunately, Ricky Ponting has had to see the downfall of Australian cricket where the team has been trying to make inroads against other oppositions with their relatively young side.
The Punter injured his little finger in the Perth Test however said he was fit for the fourth. Having played in the fourth Test at the MCG where England completely routed Australia, Ricky Ponting is now going in for surgery on his little finger. Cricket

of an innings and 157 runs which was its worst defeat in decades.
Due to the injury Ponting has now also been ruled out of the ODI series against England. Cricket Australia have expressed their hope that the surgery will help the Punter return in time for the World Cup 2011. Ricky Ponting failed to make an impact against

final Test that will decide the fate of the series has started today at Sydney with Australia currently batting on 134 for four. Usman Khawaja made a well fought 37 on a day where the top order once again crumbled for the Kangaroos who would be hoping against
hope to level the series.
