Cricket Update: Shane Warne Shares Ten Points Plan To Lift the National Team
Share Warne, the former right-arm leg break spinner from Australia has come up with a ten point plan which can help the Australian team in digging out of present dismal state of affairs and can reviving it all over again.
While expressing his views in his column, the inspiring player wrote that it was the right time for drawing the line with Australian Cricket, just like it was down back in 1980’s to take the team to the top.
He stated, “Big decisions need to be made from the top down by Cricket http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Australia-c746, selectors, the coach and the captain. Tough decisions on what is most important for Australian cricket, who is accountable for the selections in the past two years that
have left us at this point, do we have the right leadership and who are the experienced players or fresh faces to take us into the future.”
After facing an embarrassing defeat at Ashes on home ground, Australia is currently holding fourth position on world ranking. The top three places have been claimed by http://www.senore.com/Cricket/South-Africa-c757 and England respectively. The side is also on the verge of bearing
another blow in the ongoing test match in Sydney.
The spin wizard further wrote, “There is no disgrace in being beaten by a better team, but we must learn from them. We are no longer number one. The sooner we realize that and act on it, the quicker we can progress from fourth in the ICC rankings. There
is no quick fix. It is going to take time, patience, support and encouragement.”
While recommending the potential remedies for the revival of the team, Warne suggested of involving the international players into a lot of domestic cricket as, according to him, this would strengthen their base. Moreover, he recommended no more resting
of the players and doing away with a long one-day match’s series with the same team, players must develop a better understanding with the team mates and support staff must be reduced to minimum. Bowlers should be trained to think of taking wickets and batsmen
should make to work against the real bowlers and not mere the bowling machines. He also stressed upon developing an environment which would be more competitive as well as team oriented.
Warne wrote in his scribe that he had a passion about Australian sport, particular cricket as he loved the game and wanted to see his national team retaining its world number one position again. Considering himself lucky for playing in an era which was extremely
successful for the Australian cricket, he stated that it had been very enjoyable and learning experience for him.
