Cricket Update: Shoaib Malik wants the reason for his omission from 30-men WC squad

Following the exclusion from the 30-men World Cup 2011 squad, former Pakistan captain, Shoaib Malik said that he was not given reason for his omission.
Malik an all-rounder had been under investigation of PCB’s integrity committee along with the wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal and leg spinner http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Danish-Kaneria-c1314. The trio, had been sidelined since their controversial tour of England in July.
The Board got an extension in the deadline of announcing the list of 30-players till January 5, in order to give these players a chance to provide evidence to clear them for selection. However, only Akmal had been lucky to get clearance and was included
in the list of probable for the tournament that would be commenced on February 19.
"It's tough to pacify yourself when you are not given a reason for your omission," Malik said.
He said that cricket teaches discipline so with that discipline and determination he will strive to get his place back. He added that to play in the World Cup is a great honour but taking this, he will let not his confidence level to drop and will continue
to perform at the domestic level. He has scored 725 runs at an average of 120.83 in Division One of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan's premier first-class competition, this season.
On the other hand, Kamran was quite delightful on his inclusion in the probable’s of the mega event. He denied all the allegations on him and said, "I have always played cricket the right way and when the PCB asked me to appear before the committee I
complied and I am happy that they have included me in the preliminary squad."
The three discarded players, Kamran, Malik and Kaneria had been asked to appear before the integrity committee and provide details of their bank accounts, assets and property holdings from the last three years, to get a clearance from the possible involvement
in spot-fixing.

committee had given its views on some players to the selection committee which in turn had selected the 30-men squad for the World Cup.
