Misbah-ul-Haq’s match winning performance against the Caribbeans has enabled him to retain the award of the Cricket World Player of the Week.

He followed the same thrust which he demonstrated in the 2nd ODI in the 3rd, staying at the wicket after the early loss of 3 wickets and played a crucial innings by scoring an unbeaten 62 runs in 109 balls.
Misbah, famous for his slow batting style even in ODIs, played a number of unhurried knocks that has helped the Pakistani team on various occasions.
His sluggish recital was a nightmare for the Pakistani fans during the semifinal of the ICC World Cup 2011 against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750 since he batted very slowly at a time Pakistan was demanding some fire work from him to accelerate the flow of runs to put India under

He said, "I think both Misbah and Younis should be regular features in test cricket rather than in one days. I am a little disappointed that Misbah is in the one day squad, whereas, really, he should have been excluded. It would be totally unfair now if
he goes ahead and scores lots of runs whereas in the much needed situation in the world cup, he didn't deliver! A youngster should have been given a space in his place".
In spite of all the criticism Misbah’s slow batting approach received, Pakistan’s senior batsman has impressed everyone with his match-winning performances in the One Day International series against West Indies, winning the series for his team and all set
to take the charge in the Test series.
Achieving the award of Cricket World Player of the Week would nerve relaxing for him because he was under huge pressure and condemnation after the World Cup’s semi final.
