Cricket ball layers?

i just purchased electrical tape, for taping over the tennis ball. But i noticed a lot of torn places on the ball( for use of 5 overs) i was thinking of putting more layers of tape will this effect the ball?

It always happens!! Unless u want a non-swinging ball, then u'll have to put tape over it!! The ball will have less swing if u dont!!

Yes you need to put more layers of tape on the ball, however it will make the ball heavy, meaning less / no swing for the bowlers !
