Cricket bat help ?

hi i had a cricket match today and i played well, anyway when it was our turn to bowl i left my bat out in the feild and after 30 mins it started raining and i completley forgot about the bat, the rain happened for 20 mins. when i got my bat and went home and putted in a dry place but the wood has been like swallen and making some kind of rough tings on the face of the bat . what shall i do ? its my new bat and cost me alot , i dont want to buy a new bat yet? please help

  1. I ain't no expert on this field but I think if you warm your bat  near a fire place or something and turn the bat just like you turn hot-dog, the bat will be heated enough to dry out any water penetration.


  2. I played today as well and my bat cracked, so I'll new one too.

    Yours does not sound to healthy I must say, its needs looking at by someone at a specialist cricket shop I think.

  3. Take it to a cricket shop where they repair bats and get it refurbished.Don't keep it wet it'll turn completely useless your best bet is to get some professional help especially if the bat is expensive.

    Do not dry the bat by yourself and DO NOT heat the bat, it will actually make it worse.Take it to a specialist!
