Cricket crazy India preparing for Champions League T20 – Cricket News Update
After hosting two lengthy tournaments, the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/ICC-World-Cup-2011-c100625 Cricket World Cup 2011 and Indian Premier League (IPL)-4, India is again geared up to organise another thrilling event of cricket, the Champions League T20, later this summer. The third edition of the annual
tournament will start in the month of September.
The first two editions of the tournament proved hugely successful and the third one is likely to enjoy the same reception.
The tournament will contain T20 teams from all over the world, including http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750’s domestic teams and some IPL franchises.
A total 13 teams will participate in the event, 7 of them are confirmed while 6 sides have to pass through the Qualifier round before entering the league.
The 2-day Qualifier stage will start from September 19, 2011, in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Main-c73911 tournament of Champions League 2011, that is due to start on September 23, 2011.
The six teams participating in the Qualifiers will be Kolkata http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013.
The seven confirmed teams include South Australian Redbacks, NSW Blues, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Mumbai-c820 Indians.
The ten teams are to be divided in two groups, each containing five.
The opening game of the tournament will be played in Bengaluru while the other two venues for the event are Chennai and Kolkata.
The Champions League T20 2011 will be another boost for India, which has been at the top of sports headlines since the dawn of the calendar year.
In recent years, India has worked its way up to become the top cricketing nation of the world.
The IPL, since its inception in 2008, has been a thumping success and the World Cup 2011 has added more feathers to India’s cap.
Now the Indians proudly claim that they have two religions, Cricket and Cinema, and they do all for the promotion and progress of the two.
