Josh Hazlewood, the 19-year-old New South Wales fast bowler has been selected for the upcoming Indian tour next month.
He has represented Australia at the under-19 level and showed a lot of promise in the under-19 world cup. Josh picked up 13 wickets at an impressive average of 15 in the under-19 world cup in New Zealand. His best performance came in the final, against Pakistan where he took match figure of 4/26 that earned him the man of the match.
Josh Hazlewood, against England at Southampton in June became the youngest player to represent Australia.  He picked up 1/41 in 7 over’s. He just played a single ODI on that tour.
He had an impressive debut. At 17, he became the youngest bowler to play for his state. In first-class cricket Josh has picked up 17 wickets in 6 matches at an impressive average of 26. These performances have helped him gaining the “rising star award.”
