Ian Chappell. A great cricketer and captain. Always supported his team. Was always frank and honest.

Ian Botham & Michael Vaughan

Botham because he is an England legend, he is an all-rounder (like me) and because he is a genuinely nice bloke. He single-handedly took the Aussies on in 81 and he beat them (who else has an Ashes series named after them eh?) he likes a beer and a good laugh, and he has the right mentality for cricket. Also he has raised a lot of money for charity and i respect that.

Michael Vaughan

He captured my imagination in the 2002/03 Ashes series and ever since then ive seen him as my batting all-rounder. He is the most aesthetically pleasing batsmen that ive seen.

For me, it's Sourav Ganguly. Since I believe in individualism, and that each person is unique, I do not actually consider him as my role model in all respects, but I was deeply inspired by his fighting spirit and strong resolution, by which he made his comeback. From him, I learnt how to persevere in the hardest of times, and I've the highest respect for his strong will power and determination.

It's of this outstanding determination and tiger like courage of Ganguly which I consider ideal, and try follow in my own life, so that I too may be able to keep trying till the end at every phase of life, no matter how adverse the circumstances may be.
