Question:

Crickets and Grasshoppers?

I have tons of crickets and grasshoppers in my yard. When I mow, they hop out all over the place! They are also clinging to the side of my house. My question is, are they a danger to my yard? Will they destroy my plants and flowers? If so, how should I get rid of them?

  1. the PETA nuts and the environmental wackos won't like this answer, but here goes anyway

Go to your local garden center or hardware store.  Buy a good granular insecticide (triazanon for instance)  Spread it over your lawn and in a day or 2 no live crickets or hoppers.  You might also spray the yard with a liquid insecticide

Talk to the  people in the garden center.  It might even take 2 treatments.
