Crickets and frogs?

Why do crickets and frogs all of a sudden stop chirrping? Last Night my husband and I was sitting on our patio and as we listend to nature, the crickets and frogs shut up, and it was so quite it was kind of scary

    It was probably something that was not threatening to you, but was to them...
