mr.smith was a wealthy CEO. He was found murdered at his desk at home.the crime scene was: a pen in his hand, and he was writing a letter to his mother.these are the suspects and their alibis:

Wife:" I went to go get the mail"

Butler:"I was at church until 11:30 theni went out to lunch with my sister i wasnt home"

Maid:"I was at the market with chef"

Chef:"I was at the market getting ingridients to make a meal for the gods!"

The mail runs on sunday here.  I still think it's the wife because she doesn't like her husbands mom.  She found the letter he was writing and ended up fighting with her husband who continued to write.  She forgot about her anger issues and went crazy.  She was having an affair with the chef so when he returned she told him to concoct a poison that could be untraceable when consumed.  After he died the wife bribed the maid to dispose of the glass.  She did so but was caught by the butler.  The butler had not known that his sister was out of town and had returned early.  The Maid was secretly engaged to the butler so the butler took the glass and disposed of it for her.  Before the police arrived the wife had concocted the stories to which they would tell the police.  They would have gotten away with it had the trash had run and the reciepts were producd from the store and the chef and maid.  The wife was ratted out so the other people would get a lighter sentence.  The only one besides the husband that was innocent was the butler who was told by his fiance that the glass was an old gift from the husbands mother that the wife did not care for.  The butler called the police.  The wife did not know abou the butler and that's what happened.
