Question:

Crime rates between St. George and Inner West - NSW

I'm weighing between to move to St. George (Shire, like Sutherland, Miranda, Caringbah, Cronulla) areas or Inner West (Rozelle, Lilyfield). But I'm not too sure about the security (i.e. crime rates) between those areas. Can someone please shed a light? I'm now living in Moore Park. Thanks.

  1. Isn't living in a park dangerous enough these days?

Never mind about Shed a Light Mate!

Better Shed a tear for what Sydney has become since the EL for leather boys moved in!

Come to Qld..........there's less of it here!

  2. For a start, The Shire is not part of St. George. The Shire is south of St. George.

Generally, those two areas are quite safe compared to places such as the south west and you should have no problem living in those areas.

The Inner West has a higher sense of community though, compared to The Shire and is closer to the CBD whereas The Shire is on the outskirts.

  3. I heard that the public schools in Sutherland areas are generally good.

Looking at the crime rates, Break and Enter for example, seemed that Leichhardt LGA (Local Government Area) where Rozelle is in, was ranked higher than Sutherland LGA.  Check this out:

    And compare with:

    Hope this helps...
