But I dont necessarily want opinions from attorneys, thank you for opinions in advance...

I have a charge for failure to stop and give info, where i reside in the state of texas... i returned to the scene and i had insurance

i was charged w failure to stop and give info

Frankly Im sick and tired of attorneys trying to charge ridiculous prices for such a small case! (it actually flucuates extremely atty by atty- then when i call them back and give them a different impression of myself- they dont remember and they always quote something totally different than what they originally did)

They dont need to investigate (a hour tops when they do and it will maybe- maybe be reset once! I doubt it)

My question why is this? and what would you advise?

  1. Shopping for an attorney is just like comparing prices when you shop for almost anything else.  Rates vary with locale, type of service sought, technicality, etc.  Although there are usually guidelines attorneys can use, there isn't anything to prevent deviations.  Under the fair market system, it's the ability to fluctuate rates that makes for competition.  Anything else would constitute a monopoly.

May I ask why you didn't stop in the first place?
