Criminal guidelines and domestic relations restraining orders?

My ex didn't pay child support and deserted our daughter. I had a problem with that and we got in a huge fight. He got a restraining order. Would that be a problem on a visa application as far as anybody knows? Thanks

  1. A restraining order shouldn't be a problem for a visa application. A charge (convicted or not) of assault would be.
