I know you go through a very thorough background check, mental tests, and polygraph for Special Forces but do Rangers take a polygraph too? I only ask becouse I have a shady past: drugs, using & selling, occasional stickup (only criminals ie drug dealers etc) assults, Never killed anyone , I've been on the strait edge (don't even drink or smoke) for the past few years, will this stop me from becoming an Army Ranger?

  1. Sorry dude, but you have no chance.

The drugs alone may keep you out of the service.

  2. Sorry stew is more like it. There is no reason that you have stated that will prevent you from becoming and army ranger. Do know this. You dont just go be a ranger in the army. First you start with infantry or one that gives a good chance for ranger school. And I have never heard of these polygraph tests unless you get in trouble and are accused of something. Your past will not stop you in any way. But, do not admit that you did any of those things. Even if the army knew you did them. They themselves dont want you to write that down. Gor for it brotha, HOOAH!
