Question:

Criminal record question! I need to know?

If you get a criminal record... lets say at 12 years old

and you need to go to court and you dont go and you dont pay ur fine what happens to you????

  1. Best case, both you, and your parents, will probably be getting a subpoena. If you ignore that, a warrant (or capias if you are a juvenile) will be next.

    Worst case, a capias has already been issued. If that is the case, they can pick you up, and hold you in a secure juvenile facility until your court date.


  2. well usually you have to go to court in order for them to determine what your fine is going to be. But if they sent you a letter telling you what your fine was then you should pay it as fast as you can, if you pay it off, and it's already been three years then you shouldn't have to worry about it. Obviously they're not too worried about it now since they've let it go for three years already and not come looking for you, unless you moved out of town or state.( If you've moved out of town, then send your payment in, if out of state, and you don't plan on going back there anytime soon, like say 4yrs, then dont worry about it at all, legal records, like fines, warrants, etc. are only valid for 7 yrs in almost all states.)
