The former central defender of Treviso has remarked on the match between Torino-Juventus, and also reflected on the competition that the club has been facing of late.
The reigning Scudetto holders have had a bit of a rough patch of late and they have not been performing to the best of their abilities of late, with lapses in defence and attack becoming serious talking points for the team. After their record unbeaten run
of 49 consecutive matches was broken in the Derby d’Italia, that too at their home ground, the team has come under a bit of a stick and they have been alleged to have lost the hunger that they had in the previous year.
Marek Hamsik, the talented attacking midfielder had remarked that the Turin outfit seem to have lost the fight and hunger they showed at the back end of last season. Following their disappointing results, there have been others who have stated that the team
might have derailed itself and there are doubts coming in the media regarding the strength of their squad. For a team that remained undefeated in 49 games, they have lost twice in the span of four matches and this has caused the team’s strength to come into
question.
Bonucci has quashed all such rumours and stated there is no crisis at the club, he went on to remark that the team was winded after their midweek Champions League excursions, which was the reason behind their loss to Milan. Furthermore, he went on to comment

We lacked anger and hunger, but Milan didn’t dominate us. That defeat is already behind us. Napoli are the anti-Juve. They are a consolidated team, while Inter
seem to be in a state of evolution. Walter Mazzarri’s side have been working together for years.”
Napoli are two points adrift of Juventus, whereas Inter Milan are four points behind Juve.
