Crisis management professor Wolfgang Salewski employed by Bayern Munich to ease ‘Neuer-fans’ tension
Bayern Munich might have landed the signature of goalkeeper http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Manuel-Neuer-c23424, but the tension between the fans and the player has not eased out yet. In order to get rid of the entire situations, Munich officials have decided to take some necessary steps in order
to restore peace between the two parties. A high profile meeting has been called by the club President, and Wolfgang Salewski, a professional negotiator, has been appointed to resolve the issue.
Salewski was being requested by the club officials to help resolve the matter between the fans and Neuer, as the goalkeeper is now their own property. Salewski has been appointed on the back of his negotiating experience. The crisis management professor
was also involved in negotiations previously where he was responsible for the release of 60 hostages.
The Bavarians have approached the professor to ease the situation which arose after the DFB-Pokal semi-final between Schalke 04 and Bayern Munich. Neuer was a Schalke player then and denied Munich a win at the Allianz-Arena, and the fans still have not forgiven
the player. They started protesting against the player and used abusive language but nothing perturbed the youngster from his duties as he kept a cool head.
Salewski himself commented, "I have lots of experience in finding a way to deal with such difficult situations. I am sure that there will be good communication, and in the end an agreement will be reached on a good relationship in the future."
The 25-year-old was greeted with the slogans of ‘Koan Neuer’ meaning ‘No to Neuer’. This was taken lightly by the shot-stopper but Munich officials wanted to resolve the matter before it gets out of hands. The fans have also expressed their fury at the club
President, Uli Hoeness, who has been providing continuous aid to their arch-rivals, 1860 Munchen.
A meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, July 2 where Neuer, Salewski and a group of 10-15 fans would sit together to resolve the issues and restore peace.
