Rubin Kazan left-back and Argentina international, Cristian Ansaldi has been linked with a move to the English Premier League side Liverpool or the Spanish La Liga outfit Atletico Madrid.
The defender is currently under a four-year contract with the Russian Premier League side but has already started showing signs of uneasiness at the club. The player’s contract is due to expire in 2012 and it appears the 24-year-old is not going to sign
a contract extension.
Ansaldi’s agent, Pedro Aldave has revealed that the defender wants to get out of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 or Italy).
He further told that the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Argentina-c2841 international has also shown his delight over the news and could be on his way out of Russia as soon as there are any settlements made.
The agent justified the interest from the Reds and last year’s UEFA Europa League finalists, Atletico Madrid. “There has been some informal market interest from Liverpool and Atletico Madrid. I think he pays for the fact he plays in Russia, otherwise he
would be in the national team. His contract with Rubin Kazan expires in December 2012 and he has no buy-out clause. Cristian wants to go away. He would love to play in England, Italy or Spain,” he said.
The left-back joined the Russian side in 2008 after serving an Argentine side, Newell’s Old Boys for three years (2005-08). In that span, he managed to make 29 appearances and scored twice.
The agent also revealed that previously, some other top clubs like Manchester City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 also expressed their desire to sign the 24-year-old but Ansaldi’s work permit did not allow him to make the move.
He said, “Last summer there was a deal with Manchester City and also some contact with Chelsea, but it all stopped because of a work permit. Now he has Italian citizenship and this could make things easier.”
Rubin Kazan finished third in the 2010-11 Premier League season behind the runners-up, CSKA Moscow while Zenit St. Petersburg were the League winners. Now, the Tatary are leading the League table with just two games into the new 2011-12 season.
