1.- Who's gonna win?.

2.- In which round?

3.- KO or decision?

Make your predictions, whoever gets closer to the real result gets ten points.

I understand that Mijares is the WBC Super Flyweight Champion and Munoz is the WBA champion in the same division, is it true that both boxing associations will melt into one?

  1. Mijares by SD

    good luck

  2. This Mijares time to shine I like his style he is a slick boxer, but he was taking too much punches from a feather fisted Navarro, and Munoz is very heavy handed. Which will make Mijares  get on the balls of his feet and outbox Munoz to win a close UD in 12 competitive rounds.

  3. toss up

  4. The winner will become the unified super flyweight titleholder.  The belts will not become one, but the winner of the fight will own both belts.

I predict that Cristian Mijares will defeat Alexander Munoz by a fairly close and competitive unanimous decision.  They are both good fighters and it is a shame that this fight is on an unworthy pay per view that most fans won't see- it should be on HBO or Showtime.  Munoz has really good power for a 115 pounder (27 KOs in 32 wins).  However in his past few fights, he has gone the distance, and if you couple that with Mijares not being a power puncher (14 KOs in 34 wins), you have a distance fight.  Mijares is the better technician and the better boxer which is why I think that he will win.  Munoz's only two losses were to the same fighter- Martin Castillo, and he lost those fights because he was outboxed.  I believe that Mijares is better than Castillo was back then, and I honestly think that Mijares is one of the best pound for pound fighters in the world- he showed that when he beat up Jorge Arce.  When you add that he is an elusive southpaw, it all adds up to a win for Mijares.  Munoz will be competitve, but I think that his only real chance at winning is to knock Mijares out, and I don't see that happening because Mijares is so hard to hit.
