The Portuguese captain, Cristiano Ronaldo, has recently admitted that he is not worried about winning individual honours and the fact that the fans chant about Lionel Messi does not affect him in any way.
Comparisons between Lionel Messi and Ronaldo are quite common around the world. The Argentinean maestro started his career playing in the right wing position while Ronaldo also started his career from the right flank when he played in the Premier League.
Ronaldo and Messi both have one thing in common – both the wingers are extraordinary finishers and that is the reason why they manage to score a lot of goals.
When Ronaldo transferred to the Spanish side Real Madrid, everyone was looking forward to the clash between Ronaldo and Messi as they would face each other in El Clasico’s.
Currently, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 has managed to win more games against Ronaldo than Ronaldo has won against Messi. The Argentinean star plays in Barcelona and they have been winning the Spanish La Liga title for three years. However, this season Madrid look to be
the stronger side even though Barcelona are often hailed as the best team in the history of the game.
Barcelona will be facing Madrid on 10th of December 2011. The best match in the Spanish La Liga, El Clasico, is right around the corner and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 has already spoken about his fierce rivalry with Messi as he said that he doesn’t care if the fans
chant about Messi.
He said:
"It is the same thing if they sing that kind of chant or if they stay quiet," he told TF1. "Those chants do not provoke me, nor do they make me change my way of playing.”
He further added to his comments and said:

"I do not care about them."
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s Messi and Madrid’s Ronaldo are both short listed for the FIFA Ballon d’Or. Messi has won the individual title twice in a row and Ronaldo has also won it back in 2008. This time these two are the favourites to claim this individual honour. However,
Ronaldo said that he doesn’t care about the award. He stated:
"The Ballon d'Or is not my priority, nor does it concern me now."
Barcelona and Madrid will both be involved in Champions League action during midweek and both these outstanding goal scorers will be looking forward to add their names to the score sheet.
