The Portuguese captain is famous for his arrogance, but after a hat-trick against Atletico Madrid, the former Manchester United star humbly thanked his team-mates for their help.  
Cristiano Ronaldo continued his tremendous goal-scoring streak as La Liga kicked off during the midweek.

While speaking to the press, Ronaldo highlighted how important the fixture against Atletico Madrid was for the team and he believes that winning against them means that they have taken a big step towards claiming the Spanish
La Liga title.
Ronaldo was not only the scorer of three goals, in fact, he was also the provider for the fourth goal, which was scored by Jose Callejon.
With the win against Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid are again four points clear of Barcelona, who were in touching distance as they wrapped up a 4-0 home win against Getafe on Tuesday.
"There is a lot left, but winning La Liga has got closer now," Ronaldo told reporters.

Real Madrid will face Sporting Gijon in their next La Liga fixture, as the Spanish La Liga kicks off on the weekend.
