The Real Madrid winger has admitted that both Messi and him are different players and that people should stop comparing the two but he conceded that Messi makes him work harder and play better as a footballer...
Real Madrid’s winger has revealed that he thinks that both him and Messi are different players doing different jobs for their own teams and that people should comparing them with each other as they are good in their own right.
However the former Manchester Untied player did admit that the competition with Messi makes him work harder and play better as a footballer.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lionel-Messi-c22296 did score more goals than Ronaldo this season in the Spanish Primera Division but the Portuguese forward won the Spanish league title with Real Madrid. However both the players failed to lead their teams past the semi-final
mark in the UEFA Champions League as they lost out to Bayern Munich and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 respectively.
Ronaldo said, "Sometimes it makes me tired...for him too because they compare us together all the time. You cannot compare a Ferrari with a Porsche because it's a different engine. You cannot compare them. He does the best things
for Barcelona, I do the best things for Madrid, so the number (of goals)...everyone says 'it's incredible'. For him and for me because we beat our own records, so it's amazing.”
He added, "I think we push each other sometimes in the competition, this is why the competition is so high. This is why Madrid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 are the best teams in the world because everyone pushes each other."
For Ronaldo though, it can be a potentially silveware winnign summer as he is set to compete at the European Championships for Portugal as the national team captain. However his record with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 has been above average at best
and thus there is a need for the Real Madrid star to prove that he can cut it in international football as well. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ronaldo-c31734 failed to impress with the Portuguese national team in the FIFA 2010 World Cup but he did catch the eye in Euro 2004 and then in the FIFA
2006 World Cup as well.
