Real Madrid have been saved from a heavy blow as luckily their star striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Cristiano-Ronaldo-c9629, has recovered well from the injury which he picked up during the game against Levante.
Last weekend Real Madrid travelled away from home to play a tough game against the Spanish La Liga side, Levante.
Even though many thought that the Spanish champions will not find it hard to get rid of Levante, the weather conditions were not suitable for Los Blancos and the pitch was absolutely pathetic.
However, the pitch wasn’t the reason why Real Madrid could lose the game, the reason was the physicality of the game being played by the Levante players.
There were quite a lot of rash tackles flying in from the home team and one tackle saw Cristiano Ronaldo burst his eye during the game.
David Navarro unintentionally elbowed the Portuguese mentor, Cristiano Ronaldo, and the former United player had to receive treatment on the sidelines.
Ronaldo was seen getting stitches on the touch line and after getting back on the pitch, the Real Madrid number 7 was able to score the first goal of the game.
Madrid were leading the game, and during the second half the Portuguese star was substituted as Jose Mourinho did not want to risk his best player.
Levante did not take much time to equalize and it took the young star, Morata, to win the game by a narrow score-line of 2-1.
Since Ronaldo did not play the second half of the game and also could not report on international duty for the Portuguese national team, many thought that he might also not be fit enough to play against Athletic Bilbao on the upcoming weekend.
However, the reports suggest that Ronaldo has recovered well from the injury which he picked up and he will be fit to play against Bilbao as the two Spanish sides collide at the Santiago Bernabeu on the weekend.
