I posted this poem about 20 minutes ago, but it was removed - not sure why. 2 people replied, but I never got to read them. Perhaps someone can tell me what they think of the poem and why it might have been removed.
It is presented here as an example of poetry, not as a religious tract.
PAROUSIA
Ye sons of men, look to the skies,
await the Saviour's bless'd return;
when Christians shall receive their prize
and guilty sinners then shall burn.
So wayward man repent or die,
"I have not sinned", none dare retort.
Our God knows this to be a lie,
for all have sinned and fallen short.
But God's word tells us what we need
to know the joy of second birth;
upon this 'manna' let us feed
that we may live good lives on Earth.
For up above, through Heaven's gate,
unrighteous man has never trod.
If you'd escape the sinner's fate,
prepare yourself to meet your God!
