What do you think of my position? Good and bad critique welcomed.

Thanks.

  1. ur toes r turned out too much and you are pinching with ur calf but other than that good job! especially bareback haha

  2. You look pretty good - aside from the fact that your toes are nearly pointing straight out! :P  Relax your lower leg a little, and point your toes straight ahead of you. Another pointer for jumping bareback, is bending your knees a bit more so you can get off the horse's back a touch more :)

  3. Hey very cute horse

it looks pretty good, but i would:

-Release a bit more which helps your horse jump properly because they can stretch their necks while jumping and to help with balance of horse.

-thumbs up, I'm not sure why but my trainer always says too =)

    -  also be sure to keep ur heals down, i no it doesnt work really without a saddle but just in case :P we dont want another accident like on seabiscuit:p

overall though i thought it was really nice and a great position

    happy riding

  4. Bareback jumping is difficult so It looks pretty good considering your saddle less. I think you might need more release just think chin to hands and stick your butt right out of the saddle. but overall looks good!!

  5. i was going to say your stirrups are too long but i saw you didn't have any! lol oops

  6. i agree with everyone else. pretty good bareback!

    also, that horse is beautiful!!

  7. Don't twist your lower leg and try to relax your elbows. Also, roll your shoulders back a bit to straighten out your back and to open up your chest. Otherwise you make it look sooooo easy!!! I like how you are with the horse's movement coming up into the jump. You're neither over or ahead. Good job.

***I have to ask since your horse has a big head like mine does. What bitless are you using and what size is it? I want to buy one and have been putting it off bc I'm afraid it will be too small for my guy, like most everything else I order turns out to be.

ADD: I also have a picture on here from my childhood of me jumping (not as brave as you - it's with a saddle - hee hee), if you'd like to give feedback. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

ADD: Thanks so much for the info!
