Croatian International 2013: Sandra Maria Jensen beats Milica Simic in Women’s Singles second round
Denmark’s talented player Sandra Maria Jensen showed her great skills and reached into Women’s Singles quarter-final after defeating Serbia’s Milica Simic in second round of Victor Croatian International 2013 on Friday, April 12, in Croatia.
The aggressive Maria Jensen, who is the sixth seeded player in Women’s Singles draw of the tournament, played attacking badminton and outplayed her un-seeded challenger in a completely controlled manner in just 23 minutes.
Danish shuttler started her campaign in a positive manner and remained in command throughout the match. She did not show mercy to her rival and eventually won the battle easily with a lopsided 21-14 and 21-11 score on the board.
The lower ranked Milica tried to cope up with the pace of her Danish rival but she failed to play accurately. She missed many chances of earning points and ultimately crashed out without shaking the confidence of her challenger.
