I'm new to crochet and i was wondering if anyone can tell me all (or at least most) of the abbreviation's such as...

sl: slip stitch

st: stitch

sc: single crochet

hdc: half double crochet

dc: double crochet

tr: treble crochet

Most crochet pattern books will have abbreviation meanings and sometimes pictures to show how to make the stitches.
