Crochet pattern needed. Please help.?

I am looking for a crochet pattern for a women's top with an empire waist and short or cap sleeves. It needs to be either A-line or slightly gathered under the bust with either a round or V-neck (no collar). I've looked at a few pattern websites and haven't found one yet. I am willing to pay for the pattern, if its the right one. Thanks!

  1. Here are a few sites that have patterns.  Good luck.

  2. when I have a particular style that I want to crochet and just cannot find a pattern to match I use free software from www.greatknitdesigns.com

this allows me to create a pattern for either crocheting or knitting in any size/style I want

It's free so worth a try if you cannot find what you are after.

while these are not exactly what you want, perhaps you could adapt one of them?

    You might also try freepatterns.com

  4. Ok.   Here is a basic pattern for you.  If you can get a pattern just for the cap sleeves, as these are added on last, and add a couple of extra stitches onto each row with this pattern, you could probably run a ribbon under the bust for definition. I think this might be what you are looking for.

    Hope this helps.

PS. If I find a pattern, I'll come back and edit.

  5. There are heaps of fantastic patterns on www.ravelry.com - you have to go to the website and ask for an invite (it's free!) and then you can sign up, and search for free and not-free patterns. There are plenty out there! Good luck!
