Does anyone have any good crock pot recipes? I'm going grocery shopping in a few hours and need some great, tasty suggestions.

I'm feeding 2 adults and an almost kindergartener and 1st grader.

  1. try on of these recipes if u would like:

    1.CROCK POT CHICKEN CACCIATORE

    3-4 lbs boneless/skinless thighs and b*****s

    1 large onion, thinly sliced

    2 large red or green bell peppers, sliced

    3 cloves garlic, crushed

    1/2 teaspoon each basil and oregano

    1 (6oz) can tomato paste

    fresh mushrooms, sliced

    2 bay leaves

    1 8 oz can stewed tomatoes with chiles

    salt and pepper to taste

    2 cups burgundy wine

    Parmesan cheese, for sprinkling before serving

    Place sliced onions on bottom of crock pot. Add chicken.

    Stir together remaining ingredients and pour over chicken.

    Cook on low 7-9 hours or high 3-4 hours. Serve over pasta, with a salad on the side.

    2.SWEET & SOUR CROCK POT PORK

    1 pound pork chops (diced into bite size pieces)

    1 can tomato soup

    1/4 cup vinegar

    1/4 cup soy sauce

    1 can water

    2-3 cups frozen broccoli

    Cook pork in frying pan until browned on all sides. Add all ingredients to crock pot, including pork. Cook on low for 7-8 hrs or on high for 3-4 hours.

    Serve on a bed of rice.

    3.CROCK POT CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP

    2 large chicken breast, frozen

    8 slices center cut bacon, chopped

    3 medium potatoes, cubed

    1 pepper (personal preference for spice)

    1 can corn

    1 can cut green beans

    1 cup finely cut chives

    1 cup sliced mushrooms

    12 oz. egg noodles

    1 teaspoon basil

    1 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper

    1 tablespoon olive oil

    2 teaspoons salt (season to taste)

    64 oz. water

    Excluding the egg noodles, put all ingredients into the crock pot, including the juices in the canned vegetables. Do not worry about cutting the frozen chicken breast at this time. Cook on high for 4. 5 hours. Using a wooden spoon, chop the chicken breast into bite size pieces.

    Add egg noodles and continue cooking for an additional 45 minutes to 1 hour. Suggest serving with salad and garlic toast. Makes approx. 6 servings

    4.CROCK POT ROAST BEEF

    4 pound pot roast

    1 package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix

    1 can stewed tomatoes

    1/2 cup flour

    1 can whole mushrooms

    1 can Cream of Mushroom Soup

    2 tablespoons Kitchen Bouquet

    3 tablespoons olive oil

    Roll roast in flour. Sear roast in 3 tablespoons olive oil. Place in Crock-pot along with soup, tomatoes, mushrooms, the package of onion soup mix and Kitchen Bouquet. Cook on low for 8 to 10 hours.

    5.CROCK POT PEPPER STEAK

    1 - 2 lb. round steak, cut into 1 inch pieces

    1 onion, thinly sliced

    2 - 3 cloves garlic, minced

    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

    1 can tomato soup

    1/2 empty soup can filled with water

    1 green pepper, seeded and thinly sliced

    Place cut steak, onion, garlic, and Worcestershire sauce into crock pot. Pour in soup and water. Cook on high for 1 hour. Cook on low for 3 to 4 hours. The last hour of cooking, put pepper in. Serve over rice or toast. For variety, use cream of mushroom soup and a small can of sliced mushrooms. Pork chops, cubed pork loin or chicken b*****s can be substituted for the steak. Serve over steamed rice.

    6.CROCK POT CHICKEN PARMIGIANA

    3 whole chicken b*****s or 6 halves

    1 egg

    1 tsp. salt

    1/4 tsp. pepper

    1 c. dry bread crumbs

    1/2 c. butter

    1 sm. eggplant, cut into lg. slices, about 3/4 inch thick

    1 sm. jar spaghetti sauce with mushrooms

    1 lg. pkg. shredded Mozzarella cheese

    Parmesan cheese

    Cut chicken b*****s into halves. In bowl, beat egg, salt, and pepper. Dip chicken into egg. Coat with crumbs. In large skillet, saute chicken in butter. Arrange eggplant and chicken in crock pot (place eggplant on bottom or it will not cook completely). Pour spaghetti sauce over chicken. Cover and cook on low 6-8 hours. Add Mozzarella cheese, sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Cover and cook 15 minutes.

    Makes 6 servings.

    7.BEEF TIP CROCK POT STEW

    1 lb. beef tips

    1 (16 oz.) can stewed tomatoes

    1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth

    1 lg. onion, chopped

    2 potatoes, cut into cubes

    2 carrots, sliced

    2 stalks celery, chopped

    1/2 bell pepper, chopped

    1/8 tsp. garlic powder

    1/8 tsp. minced garlic

    1/8 tsp. celery seed

    1/8 tsp. oregano

    Adolph's meat tenderizer

    1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

    1/4 tsp. Kitchen Bouquet

    A little water, if needed

    Put all ingredients in crock pot. Cook for 5 or 6 hours on low, or longer if needed. Serve over split corn muffins.

    8.CHOPS IN A CROCK POT

    6 pork chops, browned

    1 onion

    3 tbsp. catsup

    1 can cream of chicken soup

    2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

    Place all into crock pot and simmer about 4-5 hours. Serve with rice, noodles or potatoes.

    9.1/4 c. water

    3 tbsp. catsup

    3 tbsp. vinegar

    2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce

    1 tbsp. lemon juice

    3 tbsp. brown sugar

    2 tbsp. butter

    1 tsp. salt

    1 tsp. paprika

    1 tsp. dry mustard

    1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

    1 (2 1/2 or 3 lb.) chicken

    Combine water, catsup, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, brown sugar, butter and seasoning in a saucepan; heat to boiling. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Place chicken in the crock pot and pour sauce over it. Cook slowly overnight or on high for 6 to 7 hours. This barbecue sauce can also be used with pork and beef.


  2. Sweet and Tangy Meatballs

    1 Bag of frozen meatballs

    1 jar of grape jelly

    1 jar of cocktail sauce/ or chili sauce

    Place all ingredients in the crockpot and cook. Serve with side items like a salad, rice, potato salad, or oven french fries

    left over veggies or what you have on hand

    #  16 ounces canned tomatoes

    # 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce

    1 quart water

    SPICEY LEMON CHICKEN

    Ingredients:

    1 medium onion, chopped

    1/3 cup water

    1/4 cup lemon juice

    1 tablespoon vegetable oil

    1/2 to 1 teaspoon salt

    1/2 teaspoon each garlic powder, chili powder and paprika

    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    4 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (4 ounces each)

    4-1/2 teaspoons cornstarch

    4-1/2 teaspoons cold water

    Hot cooked noodles

    Chopped fresh parsley, optional

    Directions:

    In a greased 3-qt. slow cooker, combine the onion, water, lemon juice, oil and seasonings. Add chicken; turn to coat. Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours or until a meat thermometer reads 170°. Remove chicken and keep warm.

        In a saucepan, combine the cornstarch and cold water until smooth. Gradually add the cooking juices. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Serve with chicken over noodles. Sprinkle with parsley if desired. Yield: 4 servings.


  5. Sweet and sour pork.

    Take thick cut boneless pork chops and cut into chunks.

    Cut and green pepper and onion into chunks.

    1 small can of pineapple chunks with juice.

    Add all to crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

    Serve over rice and enjoy.

    I was suprised that my kids ate this and loved it.

  6. OK, I'm hungry after reading everyone's yummy recipes. I usually just buy one of those frozen meals in a bag for the crock pot; but I do have a suggestion.  Buy the crock pot liners (usually found in the same aisle as the aluminum foil).  It makes clean up of the crock pot so much simpler.  The 1 thing I do cook in my crock pot is hot dogs & sauerkraut w/ a pork roast every New Year's Eve.

  10. One thing that I like to make and my whole family loves it, (3rd grader and pre-k) is a roast with potatoes and carrots.

    I take one rump roast or roast of choice, and quarter up potatoes and baby carrots, even some bell peppers or whatever else you want to throw in, put some Mrs. Dash, table blend seasoning all over everything and cover with water. It cook it on low for 8 hours or on hi for 6. It usually comes out very tender.
