Would you consider serving a plain croissant (crescent roll) as the bread to accompany a main supper dish, or do you consider them to be a breakfast or dessert treat only?

  1. it doesn't matter to me!

    cmon its food!

  2. I like them for breakfast, or for sandwiches, but they're too big and rich for dinner.  Why not get a specialty loaf of bread at your grocery bakery?.....

  3. i think it is more for breakfast or brunch meal....if it is all you have serve it with a lite meat say fish....or a hearty salad.

    not good with chili!

  4. I think its more of a dessert. If you want a dessert or party recipe, take the triangles that come in the can, put chocolate chips on them, roll them up, bake and serve with powdered sugar. It it a bit too sweet but just in case ;-)

  5. Personally, I don't think they're hearty enough to be a dinner bread. (especially if you will be dipping it into a sauce or something like that).  I really see them more as breakfast, dessert or even a lunch bread for a sandwich.
