Crooknecked squash, blooming not producing?

I have two crooknecked squash plants. They have bloomed quite a bit, but I don't seem to be getting any fruit from them. HELP!

  1. Could something be eating the squash?  Like a mouse, before you even notice that something is growing.  Happened to me one summer!!


  2. Squash have both male and female flowers.  Sometimes they produce just male for awhile and those wont produce fruit.

  4. You must have a male flower and female to produce fruit

Squash and all plants in the gourd family will put out male flowers for abotu 2 to 3 weeks before putting female out..the way to tell is the male flowers will be growing on long stems, when a female flower will be grwing right next to a main stem...not on a long stem..here I will give you some pictures....
