Question:

Cropping pictures without quality dropping?

I have a picture I want to crop and when I do it in paint (or sites like lunapic) the quality of the saved picture becomes much worse. Is there a way to crop a picture but have it so its the same quality? Thanks.

  1. USE FILTER

  2. Try Adobe PhotoShop...It works really good for all kind of photo editing....

  3. Unfortunatly you will always lose quality when cropping, since you are essentially deleting part of the picture. Any photo editing software will do the job the same.

However, I agree with the last answer. Photoshop is by far the best. If you wanted to expand your cropped photo so it remained the same size, photoshop is really good at not making it look pixelated.

  4. when you crop/cut image it only makes it smaller, though some tools may low resolution , if image is 300, and program lowers to 72, try other programs,

~program like photoshop and paintshop-pro have image size option for resolution ppi/dpi, ratio, resample

    Gimp ~image editor,

reminder to use copies of originals and backup files on cd,
