Crosby's contract?

After Sidney Crosby's contract with the Pens is up do you think he will choose to stay or move on with another team? I'm asking this because he took less money than he could have to stay when the pens had a chance and were making improvements. If the get the Stanley cup in the time during his contract do you think he'll move on?

  1. He'll be a Peguin as long as he desires to be..IF he decides to move on, it won't be because the team wants him to. I think he's a Pen for life, personally.

  2. Sid will be a Penguin forever.  He is the face of the Penguins, and he's still living with Mario.

I think Malkin will be gone sooner.  He'll sign another contract with the Pens, for more money than Sid, then bolt after that one.

But Sid, and Fleury and probably Staal, are here to stay for the long term.

  3. He will follow Mario.. and stay a Penguin forever.

  4. He won't move on because his next contract will be huge. Bettman will move money into a secret offshore account to help the team hold on to Cindy Crybaby.

Bettman couldn't have his "face of the NHL" leave to another team because of greed now could he?

  5. It's my gut instinct that Sid is a Penguin for life.

**On a side note..heard he's willing to re-work his contract to free up more money to keep players like Hossa...do you know anyone who's willing to take a pay cut..just to make sure the team has the best chance at the cup next season...That kid is amazong.

  6. He may have signed for LESS than market value...but he signed for a longer term therefore guaranteeing him the money. Don't forget he also had incentive clauses in the contract which basically brings him back up to par. (Whatever "par" would be for the best player in the NHL)

Giggles.....many players have taken "pay-cuts" to help out the bottom line of the teams payroll. Alredsson comes to mind.

  7. With Mario as a second father, and his contract being up in 2013 - i don't see anybody having to worry about him going anywhere any time soon... he's staying for life. Just like Mario did.

Giggles - a lot of players are doing that.. not just Sidney. Max Talbot and Marc-Andre Fleury were both asked if they would too during an interview.

  8. Wait! Are you seriously worried about Sidney leaving?

lmao............I'm sorry, but Sidney won't be leaving the Penguins today, not tomorow, not next year, not five years from now........whether you like it or not Sidney will be with the Penguins probably his whole career.
