During the summer, there is one or two weeks for practice. I would be on vacation far away and wont be able to attend after 3-4 days. What should i do? On the site it states that you should attend every day of practice OR get run 3 miles in 26 min. Does the coach mean its ok for me to miss the practice?

  1. Attend the first couple practices, tell the coach you are going on vacation.  Take your shoes with you.  Train while on vacation.  Come back.  Kick ***.

    Good luck.

  2. hahahha i guess it's "ok" to miss practice. my coach says that too, but in reality, he actually wants me to go to practice. it's more fun to run with friends, anyway.

well last summer, i missed 1 week of summer practice (which was 3 months) because i went to the east coast & canada. when i was in a hotel, i went to the gym and ran on the treadmill. and when there was a nice trail to run, i ran with my uncle.

don't take your own runs too easy. you want to still push yourself a little so that you don't get out of shape. have fun at your vacation! (:

  3. Well your coach just want's you to be in shape dude i was in cc and my coach said the same thing. But yes yo do need to run what will happen is your body will begin to tire and you will lose your cofedence because your running slower than your friends on cc so if it was me i would go and run like fast stuff not long fast....keeps you inshape :S

    Glad to help bro

you do that and you'll be fine and your coach wont be mad

  4. Theres a difference between a sophmore and a seventh grader. You're time is worse than a lot of sixth graders. Get a life and when you get constructive criticism don't just criticise back. Take what they say and get better.

  5. Where are you vacationing?

Last year I went to Ireland and ended up running the hotel's hallways and when we took walks in the country side I did long slow runs.

Try doing runs wherever you take your vacation and talk to your coach about making a running log to give him when you return.

(basically a running log is where each day you write down how many miles you ran and how long I took you.)

So pack some running shoes and a watch and goog luck!
