  1. My friend, sam, wins at like all of her cross country meets.. she only does cross country to get in good shape for basketball though...

  2. to always go further and to be the best i can be. thats what inspires me

  3. I run (and I think, or hope, it is true deep down for all runners) simply because it is fun.

All of the glory in PRs and winning is just a side-effect, a secondary result, of people doing what is fun for them. Because a true runner, in my opinion, is the kind who would still run without all of those benefits. When I go to Junior Olympic track meets and see kids of all ages running, I am more inspired by the ones who aren't winning and getting the praise because they are doing it anyway and when I was young I was the same way. Running has a funny way of rewarding patience in that regard because when you keep it up for a long time, you naturally get a lot better and start being the one winning the races, but you always remember that you were once the one in last who kept going for the love of the sport because at that time it was all you had

  4. Steve Prefontaine is like my hero, so I get inspired by him.

Also I want to work hard so that my team can go to State's again this year. It was an unforgettable experience and I want to go again so badly. :)

  5. i have like no motivation whatsoever for almost anything but the one thing that can get me going is some good music(sometimes a nice day too).

  6. running is just plain fun

  7. my best friend who runs with me.

my evil coach that i will eventual destroy.

  8. the drive to win and be the best ;)

  9. Beating the people around me...

  10. -Knowing that what I am doing is good for both my body and my mental health.

-Running with friends, we have the best times! :)

-The accomplished feeling I have when I PR (beat a personal record)

-The love for the sport: I love running. When I go just run for fun like off-season or something, it's just so relaxing to me.

-The endorphins! Who doesn't love them? :)

-The feeling after I've finished a run or a good workout. I'm in a good mood for the rest of the day, and I just feel great.

    I <3 Running! :)

  11. oi people talk about being the best and beating everyone else but i run Cross Country to see "who has the most guts" and i love the pain all over my body when im in a 3 mile race or working out.
