Besides the internet, are there any stores that sell cross country running shoes with spikes? I already checked d**k's and Finish Line.

  1. Brooks check em up you wanna go to a store like fleet feet they will help you with everything yeah and also try to buy crosscounrty spikes not track spikes cuz you need the heel on the cross country spikes

  2. i would recommend a sports specialty store. they would be able to look at your feet and tell you what kind of arch you have and be able to give you the right shoe that is right for your foot. like at a big name sports store (dunhams, d**k's, etc.) you would just ask for the size and they would give it to you. they are not trained, they are just store employees. but at a running specialty store, the sales people re professionals. they know what they are doing. and the running store that i buy my shoes from, will let you bring your shoes back if they do not fit you right. like if they give you blisters, you can return them for another pair, or get a full refund. they will also make sure that you have the shoes you need. and one thing i will warn you about. be prepared to pay $100+ for running shoes or spikes. these shoes will last usually 300 miles (one track or XC season). unlike regular sneakers which will not give you the support you need. so be ready to invest in a nice pair of shoes. my spikes look good from last season, so i think i might just use the same pair. but you can ususally tell when you need new shoes is when the treads on the sneakers are worn down. but brands that i would recommend are Saucony, Asics, Brooks, and Nike. those are you best bets! best of luck in XC this year!

  3. I would not recommend buying XC shoes with spikes, usually only track + field sprinters wear shoes with spikes. I would buy a pair of Brooks or Asics shoes. These will cushion your feet and save your knees. However, if you have your heart set on shoes with spikes, I would go to The Sports Authority during springtime or just go online... Good Luck

  4. I would recommened getting racing flats, no spikes. I emjoy using the Nike Mayfly's but they can be difficult to find now.

  5. Don't listen to these people who say "don't get racing shoes with spikes....that's only for track"

Obviously, they don't know about running.

Depending on the course you're running at, spikes are a must. If the race has about 50% pavement, then you would want to take out the spikes.

If the course is mostly grass and trails, then spikes is a most.

And yes there is another website, here is the direct link to womens racing shoes:
