Cross-country ?

i want to go out from the cross-country for my junior year i am in 10 now. I am trying to trian now running farther each time i run . what are some tips that will help me ? and how far do u have to run in a meet for cross country?

  1. i did cross country and i think that the most important thing to do is to NEVER STOP. if you stop then your legs will get tired, i have asthma and runner's knee. but i am still the best runner on my team. all you need to do is try your best to not stop. just run as far as you can, and eventually you will be able to run longer distances.


  2. I would say you don't necessarily have to run further every time you go out - XC is more about endurance.

    If you're training early before the season, I'd just concentrate on being consistent. Make sure to stick to a schedule, and don't overwork yourself.

    Once you join the team, I'm sure the coach will have good plans for each week.

    An XC meet is 3.1 miles.
