I don't have school today and our coaches want us to run on our own because they still have to go to work. If I didn't run would it really affect my running tomorrow (I have a meet tomorrow)...or would I be fine with just stretching?

  1. You need to do something or you may find your muscles will tighten up tomorrow. If you don't want to run, go out for a walk or jog around the block and then stretch a little bit.

  2. well running everyday can help your endurance a lot and if you don't run every day it can sometimes make your body not function as good since its used to running everyday so my advice would be to still run today. hope this helped :-)

  3. if you have a race tomorrow u should just rest / just do 15 mins light runnin then stretch

  4. Hi there,

It will not affect your running if you don't run a day or two. In fact use those days to take care of your body. Yes, do some yoga, stretching is great to relax, heal and make your muscles stronger.

Listen to your body and follow that gut instinct!

    Good luck running tomorrow..

You can do it "RELAX GO FAST"

  5. If you have a meet tom. then just do some some relaively slower running for maybe 20 minutes and stretch well

  6. (most of the time) coaches no what theyre doing so if they want  to run u prolly should. But since u have a meet tmrw, like  25min jog is plenty

  7. if you don't have practice, you should definitely run on your own. practice  hills and valleys, as well as several sprint distances and striders. if you have a race tomorrow, don't run TOO much; try to take it easy and do a lot of stretching and light running. eat a good dinner (pasta?) and get enough rest. eat a good breakfast tomorrow before the meet, although sometimes eating milk or eggs in the morning can affect your running. if your race is too early to eat a big and good breakfast, eat a banana or granola bar it will help you. drink enough water too so that you dont get dehydrated!!

  8. No, I don't think it would be to bad if you didn't run. But, you should run anyways. I would do a light run and then stretch really well.Good Luck at your meet!
