Cross training question?

Hey there, so I've decided to start running to lose weight, I'm starting my program, It's a walk/jog program that will get me up to jogging two miles at the end of 8 weeks. ANyways, on some of the 'rest days' it says you can either rest or cross train. I was wondering, what are some good indoor cross-training things I can do?

  1. Cross train is another step of building up-strength on a decided sport that your in. If running is your sport like I am. speed walking for 45min, clinbing 25 stories HDB in 12mins, or biking in a mountain trail like Bt Timah bike track. Well good luck and enjoy the pain.   2. Stationary bike

    Pilates

    Yoga

    Tae Bo

    Dancing

    Basically, you want to get your heart rate above 120 for 20+ minutes.  You can do this with weights, step aerobics, etc.

  3. climb up stair, if u want to lost weight i think this is the best training. The best time to do is one hour after dinner and you climb up slowly for about twenty floor HDB flat standard staircase.
