Crosscountry trains help..?

I'm travelling from Coventry-Leeds and will need to use my GHD hair straighteners before I get off the train, my question is do CC trains have plug sockets and if so, can they be used for hair straighteners and not just phone chargers and laptops?

they do have plug sockets on the trains and they probably would charge your straighteners, but there may be a risk that they may blow them for you so its up to you if you want to take that risk

Only other way would be to do your hair before you leave from home

There are no electric sockets for public use at Leeds station, or any other train station.

Electricity costs money so you should pay for it like everyone else does.

Yes CC do have sockets, and I should think that you will be safe to use them as i have seen other girls using them to power their hair staighteners.

The sockets on trains are not wise to use for any electrical devices, including lap tops and mobiles as they are an unstable electrical source drawn from the Train Power units.

Unless there are electrical sockets availiable instead the ladies toilets at leeds station then I am afraid you do not have much chance of using the straightners.

Yes, they do. But they are only for use with laptops and personal phones. I think a hair straightener would be likely to blow a fuse as they draw a lot of power. Don't try it.

Cross Country's Voyager fleet, which operates the service between Coventry and Leeds, is fitted with domestic - style three-pin sockets. Although intended for mobile phone charging and lap - tops, they are often used for other appliances, including the vacuum cleaners used to clean the trains at the depot, so by all means plug your hair straighteners in, it's quite safe to do so.
