Crossing from Canada to US on Bus?

I am taking a bus trip from Toronto to New York City, and im wondering what documentation i will need? will i just need ID?

i went from toronto to ny in june you need a pasport

You will need your birth certificate and a photo i.d......or if you have a passport you may use that. See site below.

If you have a passport, bring it, as that is what is easiest for the Border officers.  If you don't, then you will need proof of citizenship and photo ID.  More specifics of the kind of ID you can bring are on the Canadian Border Services Agency website below.  Note that the law will change as of June 1, 2009 and you WILL need a passport to enter the US by land, so if you don't have a passport, you might want to think about getting one.  Also, if you enter the US by land but exit by air, you will need a passport.
